David Adams
Dave is CEO of the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates and also provides management services for HR Value Group and League InfoSight. During his credit union career, Dave has held numerous board seats and committee assignments. A native of Utah, he holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Utah and a master's in business administration from Utah State University.
  Stephen Arnold, DE
Stephen is the director, product management for the MEMBERS Auto and Homeowners program with CUNA Mutual Group. In this role he is accountable for managing strategic partnerships with Liberty Mutual and Esurance, as well as leading a cross-functional team that successfully markets valuable insurance to members. He has bachelor's degrees in economics and biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a master's of business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
  Charles Ballard, PhD
Charles has been on the economics faculty at Michigan State University since 1983, when he received his Ph.D. from Stanford University. In 2007, he became director of the State of the State Survey in MSU's Institute for Public Policy and Social Research. He has served as a consultant with the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Health & Human Services and Treasury. His books include Michigan at the Millennium and Michigan's Economic Future.
  Jack Brick, PhD
Jack is president of Brick & Associates, Inc. providing ALM education to management & boards and has conducted workshops for leagues and trade associations, as well as state and NCUA examiners. Jack has authored/edited three textbooks dealing with financial institutions and the financial markets, and has published over twenty articles dealing with ALM, interest rates, investments and the management of financial institutions. He holds a chartered financial analyst designation.
  Scott Butterfield
Scott is a consultant and trusted advisor to more than 40 small- and mid-sized credit unions across the country. He has been dedicated and involved in the credit union movement since 1985. Scott believes the greatest need in the movement today is affordable support and resources for smaller credit unions who face challenges in unique ways unlike larger credit unions, in relations to operational, competitive and compliance pressures.
  Shannon Caflisch
Shannon is the midwest cloud solutions manager for Sprint and possesses over 15 years experience in the telecom and cloud space fields. He is currently involved with a number of cloud associations and groups, and is a contributing member to the 451 Research technology discussions board and is actively involved in the Chicago Cloud Coalition. He has background in helping numerous banking and financial institutions develop and execute cloud strategies.
  April Clobes
April is the executive vice president & COO at MSU Federal Credit Union. She is responsible for strategic marketing, web applications (web sites, mobile banking, outbound email, employee intranet, etc/) and e-services (online member service via email, online applications, instant chat, etc.). April has a bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's degree in advertising from Michigan State University and an master's of business administration from Western Michigan University.
  Michael Cochrum
Michael joined CU Direct Corporation in 2004, helping to create the largest credit union retail point of purchase lending network in the country. He has worked in the consumer lending industry since 1989 and in the credit union industry since 1999. Michael is a 2004 graduate of the Southwest CUNA Management School and in addition to his management and leadership experience, his lending background includes loan originations, collections and recovery and risk management.
  Linda Daichendt
Linda is CEO of Strategic Growth Concepts and is an accomplished marketer and award-winning blogger on the use of new media in growing a business. She is a recognized business expert with 20+ years of corporate, small business and franchising experience. She is the founder and executive director of the Mobile Technology Association of Michigan, co-founder of Mobile Monday Michigan and a co-host/producer of the international podcast series, ‘The Mobile Marketing Review’.
  Brent Dixon
When Brent was a kid, he wanted to be a tractor. That did not work out, and so he founded The Haberdashery, a design and new media studio based in Brooklyn, New York. He is currently the new media manager for REAL Solutions, speaks nationally on creativity, social media and new marketing. Before founding his studio, Brent spent five years as creative director of Trabian, and has worked with the Filene Research Institute, the NCUF, CUES and dozens of credit unions of all shapes and sizes.
Jim Fournier
Jim is executive vice president/COO for The Salus Group, a Michigan-based CUSO owned by several credit unions and CUcorp, the league service corporation of the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates. Salus Group offers a wide array of health and wellness products for its clients in Michigan and across the country. Jim is a graduate of Spring Arbor University with a bachelor’s degree in management & organizational development and is a licensed insurance agent in Michigan.

John Kolhoff
John has worked for the Department of Insurance and Financial Services (formerly OFIR) since 1994 and is currently the deputy commissioner. He has held various positions gaining extensive experience in depository institution analysis, information technology, as well as the risk-based examination process. John is responsible for supervision of the credit union safety and soundness examinations for  state-chartered credit unions and information technology examinations for all state-chartered credit unions and banks.
  Lois I. Kitsch
Lois is the national program director of the National Credit Union Foundation’s REAL Solutions program, which helps credit unions serve financially underserved consumers. She also directs the Foundation’s Development Education program, which helps credit union leaders experience a transformational learning experience and maintain cooperative principles as the foundation of their cooperative business model.   Mark Lynch, DE
Mark Lynch is a credit union consultant, who has been a credit union member for over 30 years and a credit union board director for over 20 years. Prior to moving to the United States from Australia in July 2004, he was the deputy chairman of Australian National Credit Union, then Australia’s largest credit union. Lynch has been involved in consulting, speaking and training credit union managers, boards and employees for many years and is currently serving as a REAL Solutions field coach.
  Sean McDonald

Rep. Gary Peters
Gary serves in the U.S. House of Representatives representing greater Detroit's 14th Congressional district and is a member of the financial services committee where he works to advance policies that help keep Michigan's economy growing. He possesses a bachelor's of arts in finance from Alma College and a master's of business administration from the University of Detroit Mercy. He obtained his law degree from Wayne State University, along with a master's of arts in philosophy from Michigan State University.
  Jayson Peters
Jayson is the IT manager at NuPath Community Credit Union, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the credit union’s technology department, as well as the research and development of all eServices including online and mobile delivery channels. He attended West Virginia University and served as a reservist in the United States Marine Corps. He is a co-leader of the annual Crash Michigan event and founder and chair of the Downriver Chapter Young Professionals Network.

  Cynthia Shelby-Lane, MD

Torn about what career direction to follow, she is a “doctor by day” and a “comedian by night”.   Carrie Susemihl
Carrie is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor's of art in fine art and environmental studies. Carrie joined the credit union movement in 2011, when she was hired by Consumers Credit Union in Kalamazoo as a marketing specialist. She now serves the marketing department as design and project management coordinator, with responsibilities in brand management, print and digital graphic design, website maintenance, direct mail and email marketing, photography, and more.
  Sue Wagner
Sue has severed as director of several non-profit organizations, including director of major gifts for the Capital Area United Way. Previously, she was director of promotion and media relations at the Michigan tourism office, "Yes! Michigan", now known as Pure Michigan. Today she is an artisan creating some of the most beautiful, one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry in the world from kukui (koo-koo-ee) nuts and other natural materials. Her work combining natural beauty with contemporary design is amazing.
Brian Webster
Brian is the originations program manager in the mortgage markets team of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. He is responsible for overseeing policy and research initiatives designed to evaluate how housing finance mechanisms work. He served 10 years in the United States Navy and holds a bachelor's of science in finance from Hawaii Pacific University and a bachelor's of science in nuclear engineering from Thomas Edison College.
  Alan White
Alan is the founder of Vital Insight, a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance software solutions.   Tammy Williams
Tammy is president/CEO of Best Advantage Credit Union in Brillion, Wisconsin. She is responsible for ensuring members are on the path to financial freedom as well serving her to educate and strengthen the financial health and wealth of her community. Tammy received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and her master's degree in business management from University of Green Bay in December 2009. She is currently enrolled in the CUES CEO Institute.
  Shawn Wolbert
Shawn is a legislative and regulatory affairs specialists for the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates. She assists in responding to the growing regulatory burdens by providing regulatory issue advocacy, regulator relations, compliance information dissemination, compliance education planning, as well as operational and regulatory implementation assistance. Shawn is a certified internal auditor and NAFCU certified compliance officer with over 10 years experience in the financial services industry.
  Robin Wybenga
Robin has held many positions during her 30 plus years within the credit union industry, ranging from being a teller to a CEO. Currently, she serves with the MCUL & Affiliates as a league representative, working with more than 50 Michigan credit unions across the state. Robin has a master's degree in administration from Central Michigan University.
