Deadline Approaching for MCUL Innovation Competition   (Misc News: March 12, 2014)

The deadline for MCUL & Affiliates’ 2014 Innovation Competition has been extended to March 21.

MCUL is looking for innovative initiatives to celebrate at the Annual Convention and Exposition in June. Credit unions find new ways to help homeowners, auto buyers, business owners, savers and spenders. What have you done in the past year that was new, different or out of the box?

Maybe you offered a new product or service for the first time. Perhaps the credit union started a unique marketing campaign. Or the credit union started a new community initiative.

Credit unions are invited to submit a short essay or video describing their innovation, with a maximum of four supporting documents. Essays must be 400 words or less; videos must be three minutes or less.

Submissions will be judged based on these asset groups:

  • Up to $50 million
  • $50 million to $400 million
  • $400 million and above

Entries must be submitted by March 21 to be considered. Three winners will be selected, one from each asset group, and their innovations will be showcased at the 2014 AC&E, scheduled for June 5-7 in Grand Rapids. The winners will also each receive a $1,000 cash prize to fuel their next big idea. Click here for additional details and to submit your innovation.
