Enter MCUL's new Innovation Contest, Get Recognition at AC&E (Misc News: March 6, 2013)
in-no-va-tion (in-oh-VAY-shun n.) - a new idea, method, or device; novelty.
We know that innovation is what drives the credit union community and keeps us positively connected with our members, with each other and with the community. But how exactly does YOUR credit union define innovation? MCUL is looking to feature examples of innovation at the 2013 Annual Convention & Exposition. What have you done in the past year that was new, different, or out of the box? Perhaps it was a marketing campaign that covered new territory. Maybe it was a new product or service that you were willing to try? A new community initiative or activity? Or a new take on staffing?
Entering the league's first-ever Innovation Contest is simple: just submit a short essay and/or video describing your innovation, with a maximum of four supporting documents. Essays must be 400 words or less; videos must be 3 minutes or less. Submissions will be judged based on these asset groups:
- Up to $50 million
- $50 million to $400 million
- $400 million and above
Three winners will be selected, one from each asset group, and their innovations will be highlighted by MCUL CEO Dave Adams in his 2013 Annual Convention & Exposition speech. That's why, where possible, if there is a short video or visuals that help convey the innovation, it would be most helpful. The winners will also each receive a $1,000 cash prize.
Entries must pertain to innovative programs/services implemented during the 2012 calendar year.
All entries must be received by the close of business on March 15, 2013.
Anyone in the Michigan credit union community can submit an entry. Click here to submit your entry today.
