Excitement Builds for CU Lunch Local (Misc News: September 13, 2012)
With just under one month to go until the event, the buzz is growing for the statewide credit union-led cash mob called CU Lunch Local.
The event, set for Tuesday, Oct. 16, is aimed at showing the Michigan credit union community’s support for small businesses.
Credit unions interested in participating in CU Lunch Local just need to follow a few simple steps. First, commit to buying local on Oct. 16. It doesn’t matter what – anything from a cup of coffee to new office furniture, just as long as it’s from a local business.
Some credit unions plan to order lunch in from a local deli for the entire staff, while others are considering stocking the break room with baked goods from a local bakery. Whatever you choose, the next step is to join the event on Facebook by clicking here. Those who are not on Facebook can email their intention to participate to CU Lunch Local coordinator Jessica Richardson-Isenegger at Jessica@in-fusiongroup.com.
CU Lunch Local is sponsored by Michigan CU Capital, which was formed in May 2011 in collaboration with Michigan Business Connection, a commercial lending CUSO.
