CUs Invited to CFPB Field Hearing on Credit Reporting (Misc News: July 13, 2012)
Credit union leaders will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences on credit reporting with the head of the nation’s consumer watchdog organization next week.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will hold a field hearing in Detroit on Monday, July 16. CFPB Director Richard Cordray will hear testimony from consumer groups and academics, industry representatives, and members of the public in an effort to provide the agency with insight into credit reporting.
The meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Detroit Institute of Arts, located at 5200 Woodward Ave. in Detroit.
