First Community FCU Takes on Assets of Wisc. CU (Monitor: September 6, 2010)
Parchment-based First Community FCU will assume the assets and liabilities of First American CU in Beloit, Wisconsin. The $136.9 million-asset First American credit union's 17,500 members will have uninterupted service through the transition.
First Community FCU, which has twelve branches, serves Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph and Van Buren counties. Before the NCUA agreement, the credit union had $474 million in assets and 61,000 members.
First American CU had four branches, two in Beloit, one in Janesville and one in Rockton. The credit union will continue to operate under the same name.
