Credit Unions Highlighted at Mt. Pleasant Roundtable (Monitor: March 15, 2010)
Continuing her tour of "entrepreneurial roundtables" across Michigan, Gov. Jennifer Granholm met with members of the press, the Small Business Technology and Development Center Mid-Michigan, the MCUL, and small business owners in Mt. Pleasant March 9.
During the event, Granholm explained the FastTrac NewVenture program that is poised to begin offering training to entrepreneurs in April; the first 1,000 participants will receive the training for free. Michigan credit unions and the MCUL were mentioned as partners in providing an initial $43 million in loans to budding businesses.
