Guests Encouraged to Join Directors at Fall Leadership Development Conference

Credit union directors, committee members and executive management team members all enjoy the training and networking offered at the Fall Leadership Development Conference, and this year even more is planned for guests who join attendees at the popular event.

Taking place Sept. 13-15 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa near Traverse City, attendees are being asked to bring along a new piece of sporting equipment appropriate for teens, which will be donated to Volunteers of America Adopt-a-Family Program.

From basketballs to baseball bats, from skateboard gear to hockey sticks, the donations will fill an important void to help the Adopt-a-Family program deliver holiday gifts to families with teens. To further help, guest attendees at the conference are being invited to a gift-wrapping session, to make quick work of preparing the gifts while enjoying social time and coffee, too.

Guests are also being invited to a complimentary session to become introduced to "Gentle Yoga", a fun and relaxing experience that is a less strenuous style of yoga that offers many similar benefits.

Meal packages are available for guests who choose to join attendees at the conference. Tickets are also available for an optional Saturday afternoon scenic excursion into Traverse City, which includes a stop for dessert and a tasting-event of True North vodka, as well as for the fun Saturday evening dinner banquet and entertainment with a nautical theme. Complete information about the conference may be found here.
