CUBE TV Update

CUBE TV is the MCUL's online video portal, with regular updates of topics and information for CUs:

CU National Update: For the week of April 1, CUBE TV’s Mona Shand looks at a small but important victory for credit unions in the regulatory relief arena, as well as a preview of Financial Literacy Month. And in this week’s CU Community Spotlight, hear what a California credit union did to make life a little better for local teachers.

CU Compliance Connection: On Jan. 20 the CFPB amended the Truth in Lending Act to implement loan originator compensation requirements dictated by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Two sections of the new requirements deal with arbitration agreements and credit insurance products and prohibit the use of both in certain circumstances. Join Shawn Wolbert as she explains these rules which go into effect on June 1.

Product Showcase: MCUL Grassroots Coordinator Ashley Ligon, along with credit union officials discuss the importance and ease of the Lapel Pin Program, MCUL’s premier state PAC fundraiser.

Michigan Priority Report: Michigan credit unions had a great year in 2012 and are looking for even better things in 2013. MCUL & Affiliates has several products that can help your credit union achieve its goals.

Special Reports: Getting a charter to open a new credit union proved to be more difficult than anyone involved in Community Promise FCU in Kalamazoo ever imagined. But getting that approval and opening the credit union makes the journey all the sweeter.
