CUBE TV Update

CUBE TV is the MCUL's online video portal, with regular updates of topics and information for CUs:

CU National Update: For the week of Jan. 28, CUBE TV’s Mona Shand looks at even more changes to the CFPB’s rules on remittance transfers and has the details of how you can weigh in. Also, hear how credit unions and banks compare when it comes to new charters, and what the regulators want to know about your credit union’s Facebook page. Plus in this week’s CU Community Spotlight, hear how a Michigan credit union’s donation is music to the entire community’s ears.

CU Compliance Connection: The Expedited Funds Availability Act provides credit union employees with important information on requirements for making deposited items available to members in a timely manner.  Join us for an overview of check holds and member notification in this installment of CU Compliance Connection.

Product Showcase: MCUL Grassroots Coordinator Ashley Ligon, along with credit union officials discuss the importance and ease of the Lapel Pin Program, MCUL’s premier state PAC fundraiser.

Michigan Priority Report: Another successful quarter for Michigan credit unions is in the books. As MCUL & Affiliates CEO David Adams explains in his Michigan Priority Report, the numbers show strong evidence of not just the continued growth of credit unions, but a marked shift away from banks as more consumers seek out the credit union difference.

Special Reports: The 2012 Grand Raffle campaign to benefit the MCUL Federal PAC, MCULLAF, sold over 40,000 tickets, raising over $200,000 through 144 participating credit unions – a new record for the campaign. This year's winning ticket was sold by Lake Michigan CU in Grand Rapids, to member Deanna W. of Kentwood. Thanks to all those who participated in this year's Grand Raffle.
