Special Report: CU@Soup - A Recipe For Small Business Support: What do you get when you mix generous helpings of support from credit unions and the Michigan Credit Union Foundation, a group of budding entrepreneurs, and a delicious dinner? The result is CU@Soup, an event hosted by Christian Financial Credit Union at which the public had the chance to decide which business plan would take home the prize. Find out who won, and hear how credit unions and the MCUF are turning dreams into reality.

Michigan Priority Report: Second quarter credit union performance data is in, and in his Michigan Priority Report, MCUL & Affiliates CEO David Adams has the highlights and an analysis of the trends. As he explains, there continue to be signs of an improving economy, and of the critical role that Michigan credit unions are playing in that process.

CU Compliance Connection: The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has been busy preparing new guidance that credit unions will be required to follow. In this report, CUBE TV’s Shawn Wolbert provides an overview of several proposed rules that the CFPB has released, and what credit unions must do to comply.

CUs in the News: Ishpeming Community FCU member wins $10,000 CU Sweepstakes - Michigan credit unions recently awarded the grand prize of the 2012 “Own Your Money” sweepstakes to Lynn Ylitalo of Champion. The longtime CU member was overjoyed to receive the prize she called “life-changing.” General Manager George Isola was equally thrilled to be able to present the grand prize check to one of his members.
