The used auto loan market in Michigan is improving. The second quarter of 2012 was the best second quarter of the past 4 years besting both 2009 and 2010 by about 7,000 loans each and 2011 by about 2,000 loans. The first half of 2012 saw a near 6% improvement in the number of loans compared to 2011.
