Effective March 2009 the Michigan Association of Credit Unions (MACU) entered into a management agreement with the Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL) whereby MACU’s board and corporate structure remains in place while the MCUL provides management services to MACU and provides MACU credit unions with access to MCUL & Affiliates products and services.
MCUL President/CEO David Adams serves as President of MACU and reports to its board of directors. Through the management agreement, which will run through the end of 2010, MACU credit unions have access to all MCUL and CUNA products and services as well as an open invitation to participate in the MCUL chapter and district framework. After the two-year alliance relationship it is hoped that the MACU structure will be dissolved and its 18 credit unions will be fully-integrated into the MCUL.
