For more complex regulatory situations, an experienced regulatory consultant is available to review and otherwise consult with individual CU’s in several specific regulatory areas: Bank Secrecy Act, Web site Compliance, Policy Customization, Compliance Officer Training and Disaster Recovery. Regulatory Advocacy is comprised of two areas…comment calls and individual assistance for specific issues with the regulators.
Opportunities to comment on proposed regulations will be disseminated to credit unions in a timely manner (currently through the Governmental Affairs Update and Regulatory Roundup). Staff will be available for discussion of proposals and offer guidance in sending in comment letters.
Regulatory staff will also assist individual CUs as appropriate in communicating with the regulators regarding individual regulatory issues of broader concern to the credit union movement.
