
Khalaf holds a master's degree in business administration with concentration in finance from Baker College and a bachelor's degree in business administration with emphasis in accounting from Lebanese American University, a college chartered by the University of the State of New York. Prior to joining the Michigan Credit Union League in February 1999, Khalaf worked as a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen & Company where he was responsible for medium to large size audit clients. Khalaf also worked for Rochwerg, Sacks and Truster Chartered Accountants where he gained extensive accounting and external audit experience.
Khalaf has been married for 19 years to his wife Basma. They have two boys; Sami 16 and Walid 13. He spends most of his free time with his family. In addition, he enjoys swimming, reading and watching movies.
