Financial Education Council

The Financial Education Council (FEC) is one of the councils on the CRI/Future Vision Committee.  The FEC, formerly known as the Family Involvement Council, is composed of enthusiastic volunteers from credit unions throughout Michigan who work to expand credit union commitment to financial literacy and education by assisting credit unions with classroom presentations, student branching, credit union youth programs and adult financial education.

Charge of the FEC: To foster and highlight consumer financial education activities by credit unions for their members and the communities they serve. Expand industry commitment to financial education by assisting credit unions with adult and youth educational resources and program implementation.

• The REALity List - Ten things every consumer should know about money.   
• School Partnership PowerPoint -Illustrating the value of credit union partnerships for classroom presentations and student credit unions. 
• Conducting NEFE High School Financial Planning Program "Train the Trainer" sessions for school and community educators in partnership with MSU Extension.
