Branch Manager, Members First CU, Location TBD [Posted 2014-11-26]
WANTED: Members First CU is seeking a branch manager for a yet to be determined location. The qualified candidate will be responsible for; supervising employees at the branch; interviewing potential employees; arranging employee work schedules; maintaining and submitting records on employee hours; performing employee reviews and disciplinary action; maintaining a cash drawer if necessary; overseeing the branch balancing at the end of the day for ATM, cash dispensers, vault, etc. and providing the proper follow up in order to resolve issues in a timely manner; maintaining levels of operating cash in line with security policies; keeping all branch staff informed on policies, procedures and regulations in a timely manner; resolving account problems and providing information to members efficiently and professionally while maintaining a high level of confidentiality; providing ongoing training, direction, and coaching to staff  for the sales and service culture and employee development; ensuring the branch meets performance goals as established by the credit union; scheduling and delegating departmental activities to ensure accomplishment of required tasks and may occasionally assist staff with the performance of their assigned duties. This person will also establish, monitor, and improve initiatives and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of member services without decreasing the audit trail and security of any entries and to ensure that all record keeping is kept current and accurate. Other duties will include assisting in maintaining relationships with dealers, realtors, members and related third parties, participating with branch employees in getting involved in community events at least 3 times per year, being a visible presence in the local community, promoting the credit union and gaining leads through participation in business, community, chamber, and charitable activities as assigned, attending seminars, conferences, and other educational events, if necessary, to enhance knowledge base. The lending responsibilities for this position include: creating opportunities for expanded member relationships by determining member needs for additional products and services; recommending appropriate credit union solutions; reviewing loan applications from members and potential members to determine feasibility of approving loan requests; following applicable processes and procedures for completing the loan application package; approving loan requests for members who meet loan qualifications or referring applications to the VP of Lending, President/CEO or Board of Directors as per the loan policy; and denying loan applications and preparing adverse action letters for loan requests that do not fall within current lending guidelines.  A minimum of one year of experience in management or supervisor capacity, minimum of one year of experience in loan processing, minimum of one year of previous banking or credit union experience and a two year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.  A significant level of trust diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
