2012 CUNA GAC

The 2012 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) is going to be held Sunday March 18 – Thursday March 22 (with Thursday again being a Hill visit/travel home day).  The GAC offers the opportunity to network with peers, hear from key legislative and political leaders, and experience a variety of breakout sessions on credit unions' most critical issues. You'll learn how to effectively deliver the credit union message, make the most of your Capitol Hill visits, and communicate with the media. In this critical election year, you will also learn about developments in political fundraising and campaign involvement.  This year's keynote speakers feature former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, and two of the most influential journalists in American history, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein.

Links to registration, tentative agenda, list of Michigan Specific Events, and the Michele Myrick CURE Defense Fund Scholarship application are below.  Michele Myrick CURE Defense Fund Scholarships are available, and are used to provide financial assistance to credit union officials who would otherwise be unable to attend grassroots events in Washington, D.C.
