
The 2010 CUNA GAC took take place on Feb. 21-25, at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The event brought together industry leaders from across the country with compelling presenters which included former Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan, CNBC's Larry Kudlow, DNC Chairman Howard Dean, and former congressman Joe Scarborough.
The historic Henley Park Hotel, was MCUL's host for the 2010 GAC and is located just blocks from the Convention Center and other D.C. attractions. The Henley Park will also be the host for the CUNA GAC in 2011. MCUL has produced "Live From the CUNA GAC" videos each day of the conference to help keep all credit unions informed:
- Day 1: Michigan delegation arrives in Washington
- Day 2: Presentations from Dan Mica and Debbie Matz, and the opening of the exhibit hall
- Day 3: CU supporters Reps. James Clyburn and Paul Kanjorski addressed the assembly, hill visits began
- Day 4: Legislative breakfast, point-counterpoint with Howard Dean and Joe Scarborough and hill visits continue
- Day 5: Closing session and interviews with David Adams and Debbie Matz
