Alan Babcock, Vice President of Strategic Solutions Consulting

Alan joined the Michigan Credit Union League on March 15, 2004. His responsibilities include managing the League's Consulting and Custom Training areas, developing relationships with the larger credit unions and pursuing strategic solutions and partnerships.

Alan holds an MSA from Central Michigan University and a BSBA in Management from Lawrence Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the League, Alan served in a number of positions at DFCU Financial including Branch Manager, Training Manager, Centralized Lending Manager and Vice President of Lending Operations. While in lending, Alan was heavily involved in designing and implementing a proprietary software system for loan originations, centralizing the lending function for the branch network and managing the indirect lending program.

Alan and his wife Erin have been married for over 20 years and have two children.  Alan enjoys traveling and boating with his family and for relaxation he enjoys woodworking, reading, and working around the house. Any remaining free time is spent volunteering with the scout troops, sports teams, and other organizations that keep the kids busy.
