Matthew Cooper on "American Politics"
Matt Cooper is the Washington Editor at Condé Nast Portfolio business magazine. Previously he was the Political Editor for Time.com and served as both the White House Correspondent and the Deputy Washington Bureau Chief for Time Magazine. Prior to this, Matt served as Washington Correspondent for Newsweek from 1996-1999.
His coverage of national affairs have included the Clinton scandals, the impeachment trial, Newt Gingrich's resignation and the ensuing power squabble in the GOP, the aborted tobacco settlement, U.S.-Iraq relations and the 2000 presidential campaign.
Matt moonlights as a stand-up comedian and was named “Washington’s Funniest Celebrity” in 1998. Now he's on his way to Michigan to share his insights on American Politics in an informative and entertaining presentation at the MCUL 2008 GAC.
