SUBJECT: 2008 GRAND RAFFLE NOTICE

The AC&E has traditionally marked the official start of the Grand Raffle, and this year is no exception. There will even be a Chevy Malibu, the 2008 prize, at the AC&E for you to view – look for it near registration. As always, the winner will have a choice between the car or $20,000, and the seller of the winning ticket will receive $500. The drawing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008.

In 2007 you helped to set two records – all 30,000 tickets were distributed for the first time and $124,825 was raised – besting the previous record by over $24,000! This year the goal is to distribute and sell all 30,000 tickets, raising $150,000 – more than half of our 2008 MCULLAF goal! The Grand Raffle is an essential part of our PAC fundraising efforts and your credit union's participation in this MCULLAF (Federal PAC) fundraising program is key to ensuring that credit unions have a strong voice in Washington, D.C.

One of the secrets to success of selling Grand Raffle tickets is making arrangements with local dealers to park the grand prize car in front of the credit union with a sign that reads, “Win Me!”. Now is the time to contact a Chevrolet dealer near you to make the arrangements and increase your ticket sales!

Please take a moment to read the attached Grand Raffle Rules and Participation Form closely. To participate in the 2008 Grand Raffle, complete the information on the attached form and return it to the MCUL.

In addition to the raffle tickets, participants will receive further information on Grand Raffle accountability procedures, as well as posters to display in the lobby of their credit union branches promoting the sale of Grand Raffle tickets. You will be kept informed of any raffle information over the next several months.
